Drew lied. Carly cried. Willow remains wide eyed. The relationship with Willow and Drew, in the end will lead to nowhere, but the road Willow is on, unfortunately leads somewhere, and that somewhere is BAD.
For some reason Willow thinks only Michael's loved ones hate Drew. She seems unaware of what his ex best friend, her co-chief of staff at General Hospital, her colleague Stella, the mayor, the deputy mayor, or the commissioner have to say about this new Drew. Willow fails to see how he has put himself, AND her, above Scout. Could you imagine how scandalous it would be if they aged up Wylie, and she found herself at odds with her son. Having Wylie be the voice for his father would be amazing right now.
Willow never even opted for one conversation with her husband about their issues, and without a second thought, ran into the arms of Drew who she knew would not look at her with hurt or judgment, but plain old admiration. They may not have to age up the kids for conflict. What if Scout takes issue with Willow overtime? What if Scout expresses how much she misses her brothers and Willow sees that Drew won't budge on the matter? What if Wylie decides that Drew is a great uncle, but anything more than that is a no go, and begins acting out and wanting to stay with his grandmas? What happens when every ugly truth about Drew comes out, and the fantasy of Drew comes crashing down? What happens when she actually sees how amazing her life was with Michael? What if the guilt rises for not standing by Michael during his medical crisis, and instead was forging ahead with a new life, and forcing her fantasy of Daddy Drew onto her kids pre-maturely and without informing Michael?
Michael may not be around, but we all know that Diane can spin Willow moving in with Drew in Michael's favour. Willow once took Wylie out of state without Michael's permission, not to mention the amount of times she has moved the kids around. No doubt, Drew's lie about Jason will be proved at some point. Willow refuses to see the reality of a custody case, and how her actions can negatively impact her case. It appears that Willow may have to go full Nelle before she finds herself, and what better route to a full Nelle situation than DESPERATION!
Willow not moving to sign the divorce papers could lead to a storyline of desperation. The one where she wants Michael back, but he may have moved on with his other baby mama. If this story is about Willow coming to terms with being human just like everyone else, with facing the consequences of her actions and going through the process Brad talked about on Valentine's day, it means the secret about Sasha's baby won't come out until after the custody has been sorted out. And why would that be? To drive Willow up the wall, to think she has a chance to have her family back and then having that be blown up by this secret coming out. Suddenly, the shoe is on the other foot, and Willow will have to deal with Michael's infidelity, and him forging ahead without her. By then, there may not be anyone who can sympathize with Willow, given how she flaunted her infidelity in Michael's family's face, and while Michael was going through a medical crisis.
It might be taxing for Willow to watch Michael and Sasha acting like the family she so desperately wants back. What would Willow do to make her dreams come true, would she be willing to scheme or harm whoever she has to to get what she wants? Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it has led many characters on the show astray. Characters have misrepresented paternity results, allowed a child to be kidnapped… all in the name of holding on to their man. A woman with the same DNA as Nina, Madeleine, Obretch, Brita and Nelle flowing through her veins could get really creative.
It is infuriating to watch Willow be manipulated by Drew, but the possibilities of what this could mean for her character down the line are just too good!
